Albert “Roy” Gooch, Jr., 67, of Ringgold, died recently at his home.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1947, in St. Louis, to the late Albert Roy Gooch, Sr., and Pauline Hartt Gooch. He attended school in St. Louis and worked for a number of years for Cargill Grain Companies before his move to north Georgia. Mr. Gooch was employed as a clerk at Hickory Valley Detector Sales in Chattanooga until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Ardith, and they had no children.
He enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, was a Civil War relic collector, book and antique collector, and enjoyed flea markets and antique shops.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
