Bi-Lo on Wednesday night closed several of its stores in the Greater Chattanooga area due to harsh weather conditions.

The company is striving to reopen the closed locations as quickly as possible when roadways are safe for travel, officials said. Designated stores will close at 8 p.m. because of inclement weather.

All area Bi-Lo stores were back open on Thursday morning.

Blood Assurance centers will be opening at 10 a.m. Thursday at the following locations:  Chattanooga (Downtown, Erlanger, Gunbarrel), Hixson, Cleveland, Fort Oglethorpe, Dalton, Rome and Cartersville.

Blood Assurance is asking all eligible blood donors who can safely make it to one of the blood centers to do so.
