Smith, Sheila Stewart (Georgetown)

Shelia Stewart Smith, 55, of Georgetown, TN, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at the family residence.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Stewart; and her brother, Donnie .

Shelia was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for N.H.C. in Chattanooga with over 16 years of service. She was proud to serve as a nurse and she considered her patients family! Shelia loved to travel but most of all she loved being a grandmother. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Nana”. Shelia was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Smith of Georgetown; her daughters, Laura Beavers and her husband Joseph of Rossville and Christy Gibson and her husband Tim of Charleston, TN;  her son, Lemar Smith and his wife Kim of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Capri and Lexi Smith, Kierra, Charles and Allie Stewart and Brody and Regan Gibson; her mother, Janey Stewart of Calhoun, TN; her special friend that Shelia considered a sister, Wilma Minter; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Monday, February 10 at 2 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Grasshopper Church of God Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
