Woman, 63, Charged With Stabbing Older Brother To Death In Red Bank

  • Tuesday, April 1, 2014

A 63-year-old Red Bank woman has been charged with stabbing her brother to death.

Murder charges were lodged Tuesday against Glenda Forrest of 528 Lullwater Road.

Police initially responded just before 7 a.m. Tuesday on a welfare check after a cousin of Ms. Forrest said she had called saying she had killed her brother. She "wanted to make sure someone would take care of her dogs," the cousin said.

Arriving officers heard Ms. Forrest inside yelling for help. She had stab wounds that police believe were self-inflicted.

Her brother, Donald Barnes, was found dead in another part of the house. He had numerous stab wounds.

Police had answered a number of calls to the residence.
