Freshman Pitcher Leads Ooltewah Softball Past McMinn County

Freshman pitcher Jadyn Raschke won her fifth game of the year for Ooltewah, holding McMinn County to four hits in a 12-2 win on Tuesday.

She stuck out five.

Ashunti Cooper was 3-5 and scored three times, and junior center fielder Allie Jones was 3-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs.

Shelby Sutton, another freshman, was 2-3, while senior second baseman Sloan Sullivan was 2-3 with two RBIs.

Ooltewah improves to 26-7, 8-3.

The Lady Owls have an important district game at Walker Valley at 5 p.m.

Wednesday. Both teams are fighting for second place in the district behind Soddy Daisy.
