Man Shot On Kirby Avenue Late Wednesday Night

A man was shot on Kirby Avenue late Wednesday night.

At approximately 12 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 2113 Kirby Ave. for a person shot.  Officers located the victim, Joshua Fleetwood, who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left leg.

Hamilton County EMS responded and transported Mr. Fleetwood to a local hospital for his injury, which is believed to be non-life-threatening. Mr. Fleetwood stated that he was shot by an unknown suspect who fled in a dark-colored sedan. 

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
