Eric Tyler Johnson, 16, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Monday afternoon, June 23, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Eric Tyler was born on December 13, 1997. He was of the Baptist faith. Eric Tyler was getting ready to enter 11th grade this fall. He enjoyed BMX racing, fishing, race cars, and auto mechanics.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Shawn Johnson; and his grandfather, Jerry Johnson.
Eric Tyler is survived by his grandmother, Ruth Johnson; uncle, Jeffery Johnson; two sisters, Bridgette Owens and her companion Carey and Holly Jetter and husband Tim; his mother, Cynthia LeeAnn Johnson; great-grandmother, Opal Dillard; a great-great-aunt, Ruth Ann Shannon; and numerous other extended family members, classmates and special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Ray Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in the Dill Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release.
The family will receive friends in the chapel on Friday, June 27 from 5-9 p.m. and also on Saturday, June 28 from 12-2 p.m.
