Morgan, Ralph Eugene

Ralph Eugene Morgan, 80, of Red Bank, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in a local health care facility. 

A native of Chattanooga, he was the son of the late Forrest Henry and Mary Ruth Morgan. 

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was of the Baptist faith and attended Ashland Terrace Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Eugenia Morgan and two brothers and two sisters. 

Survivors include his children, David Eugene (Anna) Morgan, Sylvia (Daniel) Boyd, Brenda (Ross) Gray, Tina (Bogie) Smith, all of Chattanooga; step-son, Tim (Denise) Gilbert of Lilburn, GA; sister, Barbara Morgan of Arlington, TX; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service to commemorate his life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Randy Bell and Reverend Don Dunn officiating. 

Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with William McJunken, Roger Vaughn, Terry and David McElhaney, Will Wasdin, and Tommy Thurman serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 28, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 29, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
