Brown, James Lamar (LaFayette)

James  Lamar  Brown,  64,  of  LaFayette, GA,  died  Wednesday, July  30, 2014. 

He  was  the  son  of  the  late  J.C.  and  Virgie  Brown  and  was  the  beloved  husband  of  Susan  I.   Brown,  with  whom  he  spent  47  years  of  marriage. He  was  a  deacon  of  Ridgeview  Baptist  Church  LaFayette.  Jim  Was  a  member  of  Western  Lodge  No  91  F&AM.  His most  rewarding  role  was  instruction  and  mentoring  and  becoming  District  Deputy  of  the  7th  District.

In  addition  to  his  wife,  Jim  is  survived  by  his  daughter,  Stacy  A.  Cordell;  son-in-law,  Brad  Cordell; grandsons,  Zach  and  Trenton  Cordell;  brother,  Terry  Brown;  several  nieces  and  nephews; and his brother,  Tony  Brown.

Funeral  from  the  Wallis  Memorial  Chapel will be Saturday, August 2  at  11 a.m.  with  Pastor  Jeremy  Smith  officiating. Interment will  follow  in  LaFayette  Cemetery.

The family  will  receive  friends  Friday, August 1 from  6-8 p.m.  at  the  funeral  home.
