Roger L. Bales, 59, of Ten Mile, TN, died on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Starr Regional Medical Center.
He was of the Holiness Faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Girtie “Viola“ (Waller) Bales.
He is survived his wife of 40 years, Vivian (Farmer) Bales of Ten Mile, TN; father, Dexter Bales of Ten Mile, TN; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Eric Powell of Ten Mile, TN and Roger Dewayne and Lisa Bales of Ten Mile, TN; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Lucille Bales of Ten Mile, Billy and Faye Bales of Ten Mile, Roy and Sandra Bales of Roane County, TN and Clifford and Barbara Bales of Ten Mile; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Herb Jones of Lenior City, TN, Debbie and Jimmy Beason of Roane County, TN, Peggy and Michael Allen of Roane County, TN and Brenda and Jake Howell of Ten Mile, TN; six grandchildren, Tyler Jennings, Lee Jennings, Ethan Powell, Amanda Powell, Brianna Bales and Ainsleigh Bales; one great-grandchild, Axton Powell; several nieces and nephews, and a host of good friends.
Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday, August 18, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, in the Bales Family Cemetery, Ten Mile, TN. Pallbearers will be Ethan Powell, Jacke Hairell, Tony Bales, Mark Beason, Travis Allen and Mitch Bales.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, August 18, at the Bowers Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements,
