McManus, Thomas Dale (Dayton)

Thomas Dale McManus, 83, of Dayton, TN, died on Saturday evening August 30, 2014 in Dayton. 

He was born in Altman, PA on March 9, 1931 to the late Jesse and Eva (Shankle) McManus. Tom served his country with the US Army during the Korean War and received his BA at Bryan College and earned his Masters at ETSU. He was a pastor serving for many years at the Morgantown Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia (Williammee) McManus of Dayton; his two daughters, Kathleen McManus and Rebecca McManus both of Hixson; and many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, September 2 at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Pierce officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery Wednesday, September 3.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Tuesday, September 2 after 3 p.m.
