Earls, Lena Elizabeth Woody (Cleveland)

Lena Elizabeth Woody Earls, 82, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, in local health facility.  

She was a member of Bowman Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church.  She also worked in the nursery at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallie Earls; her parents, James Greely and Blanche Beatrice Pleasant Woody; and five brothers, James “EJ”, Henry, Wayne, Gary and Lynn Woody. 

She is survived by her son, Lou Wallie Earls and wife Alice of Cleveland, TN; one granddaughter, Tiffany Jones and husband Clint of Havelock, NC; four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, Sabrina and Andruw Jones of Havelock, NC;  three sisters, Holly Carter, Beody of Georgetown, TN, Watrice “Irene” Swatzell and Priscilla Clark, all of Greeneville, TN; three brothers, Daniel Woilliam “Bill” Woody of Dayton, TN and Paul Woody of Athens, TN; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Arnall and Reverend Dwight Herod officiating.  Interment will be at Earls Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, September 15, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
