Laura B. Couch, 85, of McDonald, TN, passed away on Friday night, September 26, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

Laura was born on August 10, 1929 to the late Luther and Anna Cooper. She was of the Baptist faith. Laura was retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing. She loved gardening, fishing, flower gardens, cooking, crafts, enjoyed her family and the simple pleasures of life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earl Couch; two sons, Wesley Couch and Wendell Couch; and one brother, J. D. Matheny. 

She is survived by one son, Wayman Couch; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Couch; four grandchildren, Ashleigh Couch, Heather Million (Jeremiah), Megan Ellison (Brad) and Ethan Couch; four great-grandchildren, Preslee Million, Sky Ellison, Emery Couch and Hartley Million; one brother, Willis Cooper (Faye); numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends. 

A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, September 30 at 4 p.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church located 216 Corinth Church Road in McDonald, TN with the Reverend Gary Thacker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Johnson, Darrell Cooper, Cecil Withrow, Adam Withrow, Ethan Couch, and Ronnie Hefner serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, September 29 from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, September 30.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund in Laura’s memory.
