The Colonial Dames 17th Century’s Prudhomme Fort Chapter met for its mid-winter meeting at The Tea Cottage. A fascinating presentation on ‘Heraldry and Coats of Arms’ was given by speaker, Jo Hill. 

“Anyone may trace their lineage back to the heraldry of the earliest kings and conquerors.  Colonial Dames members may register their ancestors’ lineage lines beginning with their own original ancestor from which they attained membership.”  Fascinating, however true….

there is a Coat of Arms for Lady Godiva!

Prudhomme Fort Chapter invites prospective members to be a part of a growing chapter involved in community projects: sponsoring scholarships for qualifying students; patriotic endeavors to honor our Veterans; enhancing library inventories; supporting museums; and preservation of historical sites.
