Held Long Career With Blue Cross Blue Shield

Gay Nell Anderson, 69, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, died on Friday, October 9, 2015 comfortably at her home surrounded by her family.

She was an employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield for 38 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Her passion in life was spending time with family, neighbors and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Paul Anderson, infant daughter, Carrie Leigh Anderson, parents, Joe E. and Nola Driggers and sister, Imogene Griffith.

Survivors include her daughters, Joy (Larry) Wagner, Erika (Brian Gann) Anderson, former son-in-law, Josh Sellers, grandchildren, Kayla Morris, Chandler Anderson, Peyton Sellers and Katie Wagner, brother, Edward Driggers, sisters, Lula Dunn and Selma Carter, brother-in-law, Mark Prince and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 12, from 4-8 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
