Edith Marguerite Land, 88, of Tellico Plains, Tennessee and formerly of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Land Sr.; and two sons, J.C. Land, Jr. and Ronald Lee Land.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy McVicker and her husband Lynn of Florida and Denise McLemore and her husband Mark of Tellico Plains; son, James Eddie Land and his wife Kristie of Nashville; two sisters, Zelma Kellam of Doraville, GA and Mary Jo Howard of Rydal, GA; two brothers, Julian Burgan of Rydal and Charles Burgan of Tunnel Hill; two grandchildren, Logan Land and Heather McLemore Burris; one great-granddaughter, Emma Land; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lee’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 2-4 p.m.
