Doris Elizabeth Boes entered her Savior's presence on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

Her love of life and family was infectious. Her faithfulness to family and friends was tireless. She embraced her 93 years of life on earth with sweet laughter and a simple-vital faith in Christ.

Doris enjoyed her career as an educator of children, and continued tutoring and assisting in Sunday School well into her retirement years. She was a delighted member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church and vital participant in the Thursday Morning Prayer and Bible Hour and the Knit-Wits; providing knitted gifts for newborns and children at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital.

She joins her beloved husband, James T. Boes, who preceded her to glory.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Novenson (Joe) and Miss Donna Boes; three grandchildren, Matthew Novenson (Michelle), Andrew Novenson, Ellie Henry (David); three great-grandchildren, Hans, Levi and Ben Novenson.

Friends and family will be received at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, in the fellowship hall of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church with Pastors Jared Huffman and Len Teague officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to "Lookout for Orphans" (info@lookoutfororphans.com) and "The Charger Fund:" A Scholarship Fund for Students attending Chattanooga Christian School, 3354 Charger Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37409.

Arrangements are by Wann Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 4000 Tennessee Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37409, 423 821-7551.
