Chattanooga Mocs sophomore setter Lauren Greenspoon (Houston, Texas) was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Month for September, the league office announced Monday. It is the first time she has earned a monthly honor.

Greenspoon helped the Mocs to a 12-1 mark during September and a 3-0 conference record. She earned SoCon Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 21, her first weekly honor after a match-high of 50 assists in UTC's 3-2 win over Virginia Tech.

For the month, she tallied 488 assists, averaging 11.62 per set.
On top of that, she earned four double-doubles with assists and digs. As of Sept. 30, Greenspoon leads the league and ranks at No. 10 nationally for assists per set (11.50). Additionally, she is ranked at No. 28 for total assists (621).

As an important piece to Chattanooga's success, she helped set the team for a .269 attack percentage during September. The Mocs finished the month pacing the league and ranked 14th in assists per set (13.39).

UTC is off to a historic start and on an 11-match winning streak. The squad travels to South Carolina to face Furman Friday at 6:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) in Greenville, S.C., and The Citadel Saturday at Noon in Charleston, S.C. UTC and Furman are the only undefeated teams in SoCon action.
