Maxine Murray, 70, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 in a local hospital.

Maxine was the daughter of the late Ada Mae Ramsey Murray and Hoyle S. Murray; and was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins on the both the Murray and the Ramsey family sides.

Maxine was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and she served in Banking for over 50 years. She retired from Southern Heritage Bank as a Customer Service Officer. She served as Treasurer of the Murray Cemetery Association. Maxine loved to read, travel, shop and people watch! Most of all, she loved helping her customers! Because of her love of “Big Words”, the best was to describe Maxine is “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”! Maxine was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.

Survivors include her uncle, Bill Ramsey and his wife Brenda of Florida; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m from the North Cleveland Church of God Dixon Chapel with Pastor Mitch Maloney officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorials be made to the Murray Cemetery Association, 528 Old Georgetown Road N. W. Cleveland, Tennessee 37312 or to the American Diabetes Association, 4660 Old Broadway Knoxville, Tennessee 37918.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
