Guylynn “Jean” Stout, 79, of Decatur, Tennessee, died on Wednesday October 7, 2015.
Jean was a member of Central Baptist Church, of Athens and the owner of Ms. Jean’s Daycare Center, of Decatur. She was born in Knoxville to the late Walter and Ruth May.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terrance “Shawn” Stout; and three brothers, Allen,
Joe and Bobby May.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Orlene Stout; one son, Steven Stout and his wife Toni; one daughter, Melissa Stout, all of Decatur; two sisters, Linda Gail Stoner and her husband Charles, of Athens and Emma Mendoza and her husband Bobby, of Toledo, OH; three grandchildren, Kory, Scott and Jake Stout; and four great-grandchildren, Gaven, Bryce, Kaden and Serenity Stout.
The funeral will be held in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mike Bernard officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery Saturday.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 9 from 5-8 p.m.
