Four members of the Judge David Campbell Chapter of the DAR joined in Jasper’s annual Veterans Day parade on Saturday.
Elsie Owens, Jennifer Thomas, Jan Perry and Susan Lindsey, regent, rode in a convertible and passed out candy to the watching children. Ms. Owens waved the chapter banner and Ms. Thomas unfurled the banner that commemorates of the Vietnam War.
Judge David Campbell Chapter, along with the other Tennessee chapters, the state societies and the National Society of the Daughters of the America Revolution, have all joined in remembering the service given by those who fought in the war. The commemoration will continue until Nov. 11, 2025, 50 years after the official end of the Vietnam War.
