Retired From Mueller Company After 35 Years

Leroy Williams, 86, died on November 17, 2015 in a local health care facility. 

He was a retiree of Mueller Company after 35 years as a forklift driver.  He was a member of Greater New Home Missionary Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cal Nesby Williams and Leal Gustavia Williams; brothers, Nesby “Jab”, John Clyde, Cal Ralph “Bo”, George E. “Pig” Williams; sisters, Lila Pearl Thornton and Obie Scruggs.

Survivors include children, Lela (Porter J.) Roberts, Tulsa, OK; Leroy Williams, Jr., Lennel Gilbert, Elvin (Regina) Williams, Madelene (Anthony) Williams, Kaylene Atkins, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Sylvia Robinson and Tiny Marie Savage, both of Alabama; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, in the chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Nov. 22,the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
