Sara Sue Veazey Owens, 79, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Saturday, November 21, 2015.

She was born on March 14, 1936 in Birmingham, Al., where she lived until 1971. She was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She was always self-employed as a beautician, remodeler, artist, decorator, builder and worked on an architectorial committee for the last several years. Sue led a very full, talented and varied life.  Being a very unique person, she always looked for beauty in her own life or helping others to find it in their homes and lives.

Sue had a wonderful sense of humor and encouraged many to a brighter outlook for their day. Her faith assured her of a loving God that sees us through all joys and trials.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Bobby Gene Owens and granddaughter, Christina Brooke Farrow Stone.

She is survived by two children, Bobbie Sue Owens (Chris) Farrow, Randy Martin (Sue) Owens, two grandchildren, Brandon L. (Catherine) Farrow, R. Cole Owens, and two great-grandchildren, Caden Farrow and Allison Farrow. She is also survived by a very special brother, Gene (Phyllis) Veazey.

Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Carol McGraw, Sharon McKee, Dr. Robert Bowers and her many special friends for their love and devotion during these last difficult weeks of her life.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Pettengill officiating. A sunset burial will be held at Collegedale Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Farrow, Gary Veazey, Doug Veazey, Bill Rawson, George Luttrell and Jim Longwith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4111 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
