Myra Smith, 101, of Aiken S.C., passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. 

Myra was born in Union Grove, Ala.  She attended Jacksonville State Teachers College (Jacksonville State University) in Jacksonville, Ala.  Myra taught the 3rd grade in Asbury, Alabama. She was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church and attended St. Johns United Methodist Church in Aiken S.C.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She was loved by all and her memory will be cherished. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Myra is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Smith; parents, Jesse and Lucile Windsor; and brothers, Howard and Jim Windsor. 

Myra is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Jack) Roberts of Aiken, S.C., Sylvia (Bobby) Davis of Midland, N.C. and Judy (Clindon) Norris of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Cynthia Davis, Robert (Alicia) Davis, Matthew (Saori) Norris, Mark (Deb) Norris, John Roberts and Scott Roberts; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Annabel and Issac Davis and Sara, Kamryn and Peyton Norris; sisters, Dorothy Walls of Flagler beach, Fla. and Doris Alred of Guntersville, Ala. and other extended family.

he family will receive friends on Saturday from 12- 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.  The funeral service for Myra will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bill Etheridge officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Myra’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. Johns United Methodist Church in Aiken, S.C.
