Ruth Stover Chambers, 77, of Rossville, died on Friday, February 27, 2015. 

Ruth worked for SH Kress for many years and was the organist/vocalist at Calvary Church of God and more recently at New Covenant Holiness Church in Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Denton Petitt Black.

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years, Charles Chambers of Rossville, children, Wayne Stover of Chattanooga, Renee Stover (Dale) Guy of Ringgold, Starla Stover (Charlie, Jr.) Chambers of Rossville, Dwight (Debra) Stover of Chattanooga, step-children, Andi Scott, Geri Yoakum, Robby Chambers, Charlie Chambers, Jr., siblings, Bryan (Faye) Petitt, Louise (Tom) Miller, 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in the chapel with Reverends Johnny Godgiben and Keith Bobo officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-South.

Family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Sunday, all day Monday, and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
