David Anthony Butts, 36, of Dalton, GA, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015.

He was a proud member of the Gordon County Fire Department and a former volunteer for the Whitfield County Fire Department who had a great love and respect for his brothers in the Fire Department. He was a treasured husband and father and he loved his three boys more than anything.

He is survived by his wife, Lenae Thompson Butts; three sons, Gauge David, Gavin William and Garen Halon; father, David Lee Butts and mother, Joanie Butts, both of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Vada and Solomon Romero of Nevada, Denita Dickson of Florida and Rhonda Darrah of Georgia; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard and Julie Butts of California and Austin Taylor of Georgia; parents, Hal and Grace Thompson and sister and brother-in-law, Shawna and Mark Asbell all of Anderson, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kyle and Caitlin Thompson of Dalton and Tony and Jenny Thompson of Springfield, MO; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held Monday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at the Crosspointe Christian Centre with his uncle, Rev. Michael Thompson officiating.

The family will receive friends at Crosspointe Christian Centre on Monday, March 30 from 12-2 p.m.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to "Santa in Uniform" % Gordon County Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton.
