Jenkins, Jerry Vance (Cleveland)

Jerry Vance Jenkins, 69, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 in a local health care facility.

Jerry was the son of the late Marie Clark Jenkins and Dora Jenkins; and was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Jenkins Witt.

Jerry was retired from Magic Chef with over 32 years of service. He loved the outdoors including camping and going to the lake. He was very friendly and never met a stranger. Jerry loved going to church and he attended several churches in the area. He was a Christian. 

Survivors include his sister, Esther Jenkins Judd Altizer of Decatur; his nieces, Phyllis E. Todd and her husband Chuck Carter and Cindy T. Judd all of Decatur; his nephews, Johnny J. Judd of Decatur and David Witt and his wife Suzanne of Chattanooga; and many close friends and cousins.

A very special thanks for a wonderful caregiver, Sandra Holcomb of Cleveland also survives.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Sharon Coffey officiating.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted Thursday, April 16 at 10 a.m. in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 just before the service at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
