Brenda “Joyce” Young, 59, of Dalton, GA, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayford & Ruby Scott; and brother, Kenneth Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Young of the residence; daughters, Miranda Young, Holly Young and Nikki Young, all of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Michael, Jr. & Pam Young of Rocky Face; sisters & brothers-in-law, Linda & Johnny Davenport of Dalton, Diane & Deverell Swinney of Ranger and Melissa & Tim Elliott of Dalton; brothers & sisters-in-law, Sammy & Elaine Scott and Steve & Jane Scott, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Brandon and Morgan Young, Emma Hackney, Hope and Nathaniel Stephens; uncles and aunts, Roy & Wanda Phillips, Clifford & Inez Underwood, all of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Young will be held Thursday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Tomlinson and Brother Bill Cloud officiating. Burial will be in Little Prospect Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15 from 5-9 p.m. at the Julian Peeples Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
