Cleveland Man Runs Into Another Vehicle After High-Speed Chase

A Cleveland man wound up in the Hamilton County Jail after he led police on a high-speed chase from Meigs County to McMinn County.

Donald Abbott, 46, was taken to Erlanger Hospital after his truck crashed following a collision with another vehicle on Highway 11 near County Road 732.

Two female occupants of a vehicle that was knocked into a ditch had to be extricated.

Abbott, who has several outstanding warrants, became combative at the hospital and had to be restrained by several officers.
