Ward, Ernestine

Ernestine Ward, 66, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died on Monday, June 1, 2015.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest L. Potter and her mother Tina L. Chastain and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ward; brother, Earl Potter and a sister, Earlene Scott.

Survivors include three sons, Patrick Manning, Phillip Ward and Jay Ward; four grandchildren, Tracy Ward, Lauren Ward, Trae Copeland and Scie Copeland; one great-granddaughter, Molly Bailey; sister, Brenda Pike and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, in the North Chapel with the Reverend Ronnie Dotson and the Reverend George Pinion officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153.
