Alexander Statement On The Passing Of Francis Guess

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander Friday released the following statement on the passing of Francis Guess: 

“Francis Guess was a Vietnam veteran who became a generous and influential businessman and civic leader.  He blazed many trails for equal opportunity and good government.  He was a close friend.  Honey and I will miss him greatly.” 

As governor, Senator Alexander appointed Mr. Guess to serve in his cabinet as commissioner for the Tennessee Departments of Labor and General Services.
