Prep Football Official Practice Starts Today

The 2015 prep football season is here as today is the first day of official high school grid practice as prep players go at it in full pads and helmets.

Coaches are ready to implement new offensive and defensive plans and get a glimpse of the talked about freshmen and the talented seniors working for one more shot at a winning season and the playoffs.

The annual jamboree at Finley Stadium is three weeks away (Aug. 14-15) and the extended season- opening weekend is three weeks from Thursday (Aug.

20-22).

Early Start: The sixth annual tour begins at Howard High School at 6:30 a.m. (head coach arrives at 6:30 and practice is at 7) and then it's on to other early morning stops at East Ridge and East Hamilton before arriving at Notre Dame and Chattanooga Christian before lunch as it’s a quick view of practice, ask a few questions of the head coach and on to the next school.

 

The tour zig zags across Hamilton County with more stops in the afternoon and early evening and closes out the day at Silverdale Academy’s 7-11 p.m .practice.
