A Ringgold software developer is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Nancy Thanki, 24, was selected as a winner from the Jackpot Series Second Chance Promotion, winning a 2015 Kia Optima.
“It was the luck of the draw,” she said. “It was a lucky coincidence.”
Ms. Thanki recently had discussed purchasing a new vehicle.
“It turned out to be a lucky thing that happened,” the winner said. “I was in shock. I didn’t expect to win a new vehicle.”
She received the keys to her new vehicle Friday at Ed Voyles Kia, 2145 South Cobb Parkway in Smyrna.
“I’m pretty excited,” she said.
“It was a nice coincidence, and it’s going to be pretty awesome.”
Jackpot Series is a new family of Georgia Lottery instant games with prizes ranging from $50,000 to $3 million.
Ticket prices for the games are $1, $2, $5 and $20.
Players can enter non-winning Jackpot Series tickets online for a chance to win a 2015 Kia Optima EX.
