County Commission Gets New Leadership As Bankston, Fairbanks Win 5-4 Votes

The County Commission has new leadership as Chester Bankston and Randy Fairbanks won 5-4 votes on Wednesday.

Commissioner Bankston, who is from Ooltewah, defeated incumbent Chairman Jim Fields.

Commissioner Fairbanks, of Soddy Daisy, won over Commissioner Joe Graham.

The Bankston/Fairbanks team had the support of Tim Boyd, Marty Haynes and Sabrena Smedley.

Greg Beck and Warren Mackey voted for Fields/Graham.
