Don Reasonover
Don Reasonover Cooper, 92, of Cumming, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, January 31, 2016.
He was born in Anaheim, Ca., to the late Cora Mae & William Orman Cooper, Sr.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga and retired from Ernest Holmes Company/Dover Corporation after 40 years of service.
Mr. Cooper was a longtime member and greeter at Red Bank Baptist church. He was a member of the Red Bank Masonic Lodge F&AM and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He served in the United States Army/Air Corp during World War II (44th Bomber Squadron) as well as the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served in the Civil Air Patrol in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Paul Wilson Cooper and William Orman Cooper, Jr.; sister Ruby Cooper; and twin sister, Helen Virginia Cooper Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Kathleen Seymore Cooper; son, Bruce (Judy) Cooper of Cumming, Georgia; grandson, Nicholas (Julie) Cooper of Lawrenceville, Georgia; granddaughter, Carrie (Terry) Knecht of Chattanooga; five beloved great-grandchildren, Cooper, Carson, Caroline, Wyatt, and Kate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. with funeral services beginning 2:30 p.m. in the North Chapel with Reverend Bert Jones and Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
