Thunder Enterprises Expands Team With Chief Financial Officer

Thunder Enterprises, the developer of residential mountain top community Jasper Highlands, announces the addition to its leadership team with Chief Financial Officer John Henegar, CPA, CMA, CGMA. Mr. Henegar joins the company with seventeen years of experience in public accounting where he served as clients’ trusted tax advisor in various industries; including construction, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, technology and life sciences, as well as for a select group of individuals. His expertise involves federal and state taxation including tax controversy issues for businesses and individuals.

“It has been a privilege to work with John Thornton during my years in public accounting. Thornton is an immensely talented business man and to be able to join his team is a tremendous career opportunity for me. And could you ask for a more picturesque setting? I don’t think so,” said Mr. Henegar on joining Thunder Enterprises, owned by John “Thunder” Thornton.

Graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Mr. Henegar is a member of the American Institute of CPAs & Tax Section, Tennessee Society of CPAs and Institute of Management Accountants. He holds credentials as a certified public accountant and is heavily involved in the Chattanooga community as an active member of Steps 2 Hope and the Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga.

Prior to entering the public accounting field, Mr. Henegar served 12 years with the Internal Revenue Service and more than 10 years as a corporate controller with a construction firm.
