Signal Mountain Ministerial Association To Sponsor 3rd Annual Community Harvest Hymn Festival On Nov. 13

  • Monday, October 31, 2016

The Signal Mountain Ministerial Association will sponsor the third annual community Harvest Hymn Festival at Signal Mountain Baptist Church on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m.

The service will feature both an adult festival choir and a children's choir composed of singers from local churches.  The congregation will join the festival choir on most of the hymns.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to gather as one body to give thanks at this season through a blending of songs, readings and prayers," said Philip Newton, director of Music Ministries at St.
Timothy's Episcopal Church.

Among program numbers are traditional hymns such as "God of Our Fathers," "Now Thank We All Our God" and "Let All Things Now Living," as well as songs such as "Wade in the Water," "Count Your Blessings," "Ancient Words" and "There's a Sweet, Sweet Spirit."

An offering will be collected to support the work of the Signal Mountain Social Services.

Mr. Newton said that all Signal Mountain vocalists are welcome to participate in the festival choir.  For more information, contact him at 886-2281, ext. 307.
