Air Quality Set At Code Red For Wednesday

Wednesday is forecast to be Code Red Air Quality at 151 for fine particles. Levels of pollution are forecast to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. 

PEOPLE AT RISK:

  • Children
  • Active adults
  • Older adults
  • People with heart or lung disease
  • People with unusual susceptibility to air pollution

REDUCE EXPOSURE:

  • Stay indoors with windows and doors closed
  • Minimize outdoor activities, especially physical exertion during smoky conditions
  • Keep the fresh air intake closed when running the heat and a/c
  • Choose less strenuous outdoor activities away from wildfire smoke
  • If possible, avoid areas where the wildfires are burning
  • Monitor air quality conditions and sign up for alerts at apcb.org
