Joy Caldwell, 68, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
She was born June 7, 1948 in Dalton to the late Rufus and Mattie Lou Edwards Harris; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Caldwell; son, Darren Wells; and sister, Martha Hollis.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Glenn Womack of Cedartown, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Jack McGill of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Womack and Daniel Wells; and one great-grandchild.
At her request she will be cremated and placed with her son at the Dunagan Cemetery.
Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Melrose Chapel.
