Ernest Hickman, 55, of Decatur, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence.
Ernest was a son of the late Warner and Doris Hickman and had lived in the Decatur area for over 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Grandview in Rhea County and was member of the Laborers Local 818 Union in Knoxville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Rick Hickman, Chris Hickman, and Warner Hickman; mother-in-law Pauline Waller; Brothers-in-law Scott Waller and Sam Smith; sisters-in-law Theresa Waller and Laura Waller; nephew Kevin Waller; and a great-niece Natalee Waller.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years Patsy Waller Hickman of Decatur; daughters Jessica Waller of Decatur and Nicole Hickman of Chickamauga, GA; sister Linda Hickman; a brother Steve Hickman of Etowah; father-in-law Rev. Lawrence Waller; brothers-in-law and spouses Junior and Ester Waller, Larry Waller, Charles and Robbin Waller, Rusty and Kelly Waller, Thomas and April Waller, and Michael Waller; and sisters-in-law and their spouses Shirley and Doyle Fugate, Cathy Smith, Barbara and Dwayne Fleury, and Carolyn and Charles Miles; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Reverend Lawrence Waller officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in Ten Mile with Jonathon Fleury, Cory Fleury, Cordus Waller, Brian Waller, Tyler Sumner, and Nathan Waller serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
