Nicholas “Nick” Santo Romita, 85, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

Mr. Romita was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War stationed in Germany.  He graduated from Chic School of Fashion Design in New York City and was the owner and operator of his own clothing factory, Kitty Kat Kasuals in Dunlap.  He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, loved his family, and enjoyed Day Trading and watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Romita; parents, Joseph and Laura Romita; and sister, Mary Cherico.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Catherine “Kitty” Romita; daughters, Valerie (Ralph) Logan of California, and Kathleen Pillman of Texas; grandchildren, Kyleigh (Chris) Eaker, Nicholas Logan, Jessica Pillman and Kirsten Pillman; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Michael; daughter-in-law, Melody Romita; siblings, Angela Addeo, Arthur Romita and Grace Romita; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at the church.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1716 Anderson Pike, Signal Mountain, Tn. 37377, with Father James Vick officiating.

Interment will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
