Cathy Goodman Named Interim Director Of Cleveland Schools

The Cleveland City Schools Board of Education voted to appoint Cathy Goodman interim director of schools at a special-called board meeting Monday morning.

Ms. Goodman has been the assistant director of schools/director of personnel since 2011. She has 38 years of experience in education as a teacher, principal, and supervisor and started working for Cleveland City Schools in 2002 as the supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.

Ms. Goodman said, “I am honored to serve Cleveland City Schools as the interim director of schools. We have an excellent administrative team, and our top priority is the safety and education of our students. I am confident that the dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff of our system will continue the excellence that Cleveland expects.”
