Former Red Bank High School and UT football star Gerald Riggs Jr. was booked into the County Jail on Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear in court.

Court officials said Riggs, 32, did not come to court earlier to answer charges of driving on a revoked driver's license and speeding from an arrest in 2008.

Riggs, who lives in Marietta, Ga., was stopped for speeding Aug. 29, 2008, and found to be operating on a suspended Georgia license. The suspension was Nov. 23, 2007.

His father, Gerald Riggs Sr., was a star with the Atlanta Falcons.
