An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Bristol man, after being indicted on multiple charges of child rape and aggravated sexual battery.

At the request of 2nd District Attorney General Barry Staubus, TBI Special Agents began investigating David Lee St. John, 59, on a complaint of sexual assault of two juveniles. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that between April 18 and April 19, St. John had sexual contact with two victims who are both under the age of 13.

The Sullivan County Grand Jury returned indictments on Tuesday charging David St. John with three counts of Rape of a Child and six counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery. St. John turned himself in to authorities Thursday afternoon and was booked into the Sullivan County Jail, where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.
