Former UTC football player Ke'Von Hall entered a guilty plea on Thursday to a theft charge.
Hall, who was dismissed from the UTC football team after his arrest, was given guilty plea diversion. The charge can be removed from the record if he gets in no further trouble for a year.
He was given a workhouse sentence of 11 months and 29 days that was suspended on his good behavior.
Hall was to make restitution and perform 10 days of public service at the Boys and Girls Club.
The Memphis resident plans to transfer to a college in the Bronx, it was stated.
Another former UTC football player, who was charged in the same case, had his case delayed until July 18.
Virgin, who was at one time a leading UTC football defensive back, is facing charges that he stole a $1,000 MacBook Air Tablet from a fellow student.
Virgin was also dismissed from the team.
A female student on April 27 reported the MacBook missing from her apartment at 815 University St.
UTC Police viewed surveillance at Decosimo and saw a black male, later identified as Virgin, as the person entering her room. He was seen removing the MacBook from the room and leaving with it in the front of his pants. He was seen using his hand to help conceal the item.
UTC Police confronted Virgin and he at first denied it. He later acknowledged taking the MacBook and retrieved the stolen property.
He is a former All Southern Conference performer.
Prosecutor Carl Huskins said another female who lived in the apartment took Hall and Virgin there.
