Pokémon GO Days Held At The Chattanooga Zoo

  • Monday, July 25, 2016

The Chattanooga Zoo is offering $1 off admission for all guests who show their Pokémon GO app on Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. for the Pokémon GO Days at the Zoo. One discounted admission will be given per Pokémon GO app presented.

The Zoo is currently home to six pokéstops, one gym, and countless Pokémon to catch. In addition, new lures will be developed before this coming weekend.

“We are excited to offer this discount and be part of the Pokémon GO craze," said Dardenelle Long, Zoo CEO and president. "We want our Zoo guests to have fun catching all the Pokémon they can find at the Zoo, stay safe in public viewing areas, and take time to appreciate the Zoo’s real animals."

In addition to the admission discount, the Chattanooga Zoo will be giving away a grand prize to the most unique photo from the Zoo’s Pokémon GO Days shared on social media using the hashtag #ChattZooPokemonGO. Share Pokémon catches on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with this hashtag for a chance to win a family membership.

The Zoo will also be featuring Pokémon inspired animal enrichment given to different animals throughout the day. An enrichment schedule will be available for all guests upon arrival.

Pokémon GO users will be expected to follow all rules and regulations of the Zoo to not enter restricted areas no matter where they may find Pokémon. No refunds will be given in the event that mobile device or the Pokemon GO servers are down.
