U.S. Army Veteran Retired From Norfolk Southern Railroad After 26 Years

M. Judd Dean, 67, of Ooltewah, died on Monday, August 29, 2016 in a local hospice care center.

A lifelong resident of Ooltewah, Mr. Dean  retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad after 26 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie Stiner Dean.

Survivors are his daughters, Dee Dee (Lance) Sullivan, Nashville and Summer (Clint) Brannon,  Acworth, GA; former wife, Donna Dean, Nashville; sister, Linda (Ronnie) Rogers, Ooltewah;  grandson, Landon Sullivan, Nashville; two nieces, Rhonda Rogers, Smyrna, TN, Tammy Higgins, Nashville; nephew, Keith Rogers, Ooltewah; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend James Helton. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
