Cleveland City Schools and Cleveland High School Principal, Autumn O’Bryan, announced the selection of Miles Christian as the CHS Head Girls Varsity Soccer coach.  Coach Christian is a recent graduate of Bryan College where he was a four year letterman for the Men’s Soccer Team.   Mrs. O’Bryan stated, “Miles has enjoyed an exceptional soccer career, while remaining active in our youth soccer programs.  We are excited to see the future of our Lady Raiders Soccer team under his direction.”
Coach Christian was honored for his hard work in the classroom as a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Academic Team during his collegiate days at Bryan College.  He led his team as the captain his senior year.  He was also named to the AAC All Conference Team and All-Tournament Team.

Prior to his playing days at Bryan College, Coach Christian was an outstanding player for not only the soccer team, but also basketball and football teams at Bradley Central High School.  Christian is currently the only member of the boys’ soccer team to have his jersey retired.  A 2012 graduate, he was a three-time All-District, two-time All-Region and All-State honoree.  Coach Christian not only holds the record of 74 career goals, but currently is the record setter for most goals in a season (33) and a single match (5).

Christian is currently coaching youth teams for Cleveland FC Flames as well as providing fundamental skill work with the Shine Soccer Academy.   Coach Christian said, “I am excited to pursue my dream of being an educator and soccer coach here in my hometown.
I would like to thank Mrs. O'Bryan and the administrative staff at Cleveland High School for trusting me to lead the women's soccer program. I am looking forward to developing the players and the team, while also helping them achieve their goals. Soccer has always had a high standard at Cleveland, and I am honored to continue to keep that standard and carry on this program's great tradition.”
CHS Athletic Director David Turner added, “We are excited to have Miles join the coaching team at Cleveland High School.   He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and energy to the program and has a passion for growing the sport of soccer.”
