Charlotte Gail Lewis, 70, died on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in a medical center in Manchester, Tn.

Miss Lewis was born on May 6, 1946, to the late Wallace and Virginia Smith Lewis. She served in the Army as an intake nurse during the Vietnam Era. She was a member of the American Legion Post 95 and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed singing, fishing, and listening to Elvis.

Survivors include her sister, Jeannie Baker; brother, Raymond Lewis; niece, Victoria Blanks; nephew, Jeffery Smith; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Miss Lewis will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Gill officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
