Judith “Judy” Diane Harwood, 72, of Chattanooga, died Thursday, September 22, 2016.

She was born Dec. 30, 1943 in Dayton to the late Elijah and Mildred (Morgan) Jordan; and was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Maurice Jordan, Jack Jordan, and Ronnie Jordan; and her sister, Barbara Wilson.

Judy was born and raised in Dayton, and moved to Chattanooga in 1990. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Rossville, GA. She retired from ContinuCare Home Health through Erlanger, and was an accomplished artist and cook. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Angel (Andy) McPeters of Ooltewah; her sons, Donny (Lara) Harwood of Cleveland and Terry (Lisa) Harwood of Shelter Island, NY; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Eric) Sines, Jacqueline (Wes) Whitt, Hannah Harwood, Austin Harwood, Lauren Harwood, James Harwood and John Harwood; and two sisters, Rosa Muller and Teresa Ketterer Norton, both of Chattanooga.

Funeral services for Judy will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. with Pastors Alan and Terri Crider officiating. She will be laid to rest in Spivey Cemetery in Dayton.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
